The new distro is based on the Ubuntu 7.10 and bundled with applications that are expected withing any new Linux distro but not all bundled applications are free – like Skype. As noted in Linux Desktop, this is the first OS that cares about high speed connection more than high performance applications.
gOS was first introduced by Everex, a midtier PC vendor, in its inexpensive Green gPC TC2502 computer in late October.
