RedHat中要改变启动级别，，只要修改/etc/inittab。
Ubuntu有点不一样，网上的方法也很多，试过其中一种。
You need to open the /etc/default/grub file, locate the following line:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”
and change it to:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash text”
update-grub
即编辑/etc/default/grub文件，将GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash”改为GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT=”quiet splash text”，然后更新一下grub。
