Responsibility

Monitor systems and products on a daily basis to ensure systems are performing as expected

Maintain important data center environmental systems, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems

Document internal processes and procedures related to systems administration

Adhere to established service level agreements in consultation with end users to establish expectations and time frames for problem resolutions

Participate as a member of an on-call rotation to support multiple systems during off-hours

Work evenings and weekends as needed

Required skills

5+ years of related experience

Solid Linux administration skills with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Ubuntu

Ability to effectively communicate with a global team

Experience with automated configuration management workflows and technologies like Puppet, Chef, or CFEngine

Experience with Red Hat-based Linux distributions

Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios and Zabbix

Experience with virtualization technologies, especially Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) and KVM

Linux certifications are an advantage

Excellent interpersonal skills, especially with listening and questioning

Application and process support experience in a 24×7 environment

Ability to work flexible hours
