Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year Day. I enjoy it very much. On the Chinese New Year Day, some of our relatives come to visit us. They often give me some lucky money. Then I would play with their children. We often play firecrakers together, which is quite interesting.
At night the whole family would sit together, talking and watching TV programmes. Sometimes we take pictures of the whole family members in the house. Dear teachers and students
hello everyone!
I'm __ from class 1, grade _. the topic of my speech today is: learn to be grateful and welcome the new year.
Learn to love your motherland. Whenever I wear a red scarf, I know I am a decent Chinese and I have a patriotism. Although I am still young and can't do anything big, I know how to love my mother. The motherland is the mother who nurtured my growth. She let me learn knowledge and grow up healthily in school. Today, I swear in our new school - Bohai E_perimental School: "we must study hard, strengthen our body, serve the motherland and become the pillars of the motherland in the future."
Let's start small. We should strive to learn all subjects well; At the same time, read more books and newspapers suitable for our primary school students in our spare time. Now, let us also use the motto "knowledge is power" to encourage ourselves to be a new generation who loves science and write more brilliant poems for the future of our motherland!
Learn to love your parents, your teachers, your friends and all the people around you. Let love come into our life, let love make our life colorful.
Teachers are the hardest. They are the leaders of our growth. Let's thank every teacher who has worked hard for us with warm applause. I wish teachers a smooth job! Healthy and happy! I wish the students good results and new progress in the New Year!
Thank you. My speech is over!

1 Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by English speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month (Chinese:正月; pinyin: zhēng yuè) in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival. Chinese New Years Eve is known as chú xī. It literally means "Year-pass Eve".
Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Lunar Calendar. The origin of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains significance because of several myths and traditions. Ancient Chinese New Year is a reflection on how the people behaved and what they believed in the most.
Celebrated in areas with large populations of ethnic Chinese, Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors, as well as cultures with whom the Chinese have had extensive interaction. These include Koreans (Seollal), Tibetans and Bhutanese (Losar), Mongolians (Tsagaan Sar), Vietnamese (Tt), and formerly the Japanese before 1873 (Oshogatsu). Outside of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, Chinese New Year is also celebrated in countries with significant Han Chinese populations, such as Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. In countries such as Australia, Canada and the United States, although Chinese New Year is not an official holiday, many ethnic Chinese hold large celebrations and Australia Post, Canada Post, and the US Postal Service issues New Years themed stamps.
Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese new year vary widely. People will pour out their money to buy presents, decoration, material, food, and clothing. It is also the tradition that every family thoroughly cleans the house to sweep away any ill-fortune in hopes to make way for good incoming luck. Windows and doors will be decorated with red colour paper-cuts and couplets with popular themes of “happiness”, “wealth”, and “longevity”. On the Eve of Chinese New Year, supper is a feast with families. Food will include such items as pigs, ducks, chicken and sweet delicacies. The family will end the night with firecrackers. Early the next morning, children will greet their parents by wishing them a healthy and happy new year, and receive money in red paper envelopes. The Chinese New Year tradition is a great way to reconcile forgetting all grudges, and sincerely wish peace and happiness for everyone.

4 The spring festival
Good afternoon everyone.I’m Wu Yunfei .Today ,I’ll talk about the topic about spring festival .
The Spring festival ,Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all us. But we find the western festival become more popular than New Year in the recently years. some people wonder whether the Christmas will replace the Spring Festival in the future.we can find easily Christmas cards become popular with students.Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters. Then this worry is fairly unnecessary .Why?Do we should treasure the Spring Festival forever?
In my opinion ,the Spring Festival as the most influential traditional festival have important meaning for us .Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; coupletsareposted on the doors. Colorful lanterns are hung at the gate. All family members will get together on New Year Eve to have a big meal . During which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed. At the same time ,everyone celebrates to each other . When people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year"..At about 12 oclock, some parents and children light crackers. The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly. How busy it is! On the first early morning of one year,Friends and relatives pay new year calls and gives presents to each other. At that time, children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on.
I think,it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West,a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever.

Dear Judges and Friends,
The topic for my speech today is “Festival.” I would like to talk about my favorite festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival.
In China we have several important festivals, such as the Spring Festival, the Lantern Festival, the Dragon-boat Festival and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Among them, I like Mid-Autumn festival best, especially because I live in Xiamen.
In Xiamen, when we celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival, we do not only follow the mon practices such as having a big dinner party with our family, eating mooncakes, and appreciating the full moon at night, we also have one unique custom which is only practiced in Xiamen, that is “Bo Bing”.
“Bo Bing” is a very interesting game that almost all Xiamen people play during this festival. Usually family members or close friends get together around a table with a big round bowl in the middle and six dices in the bowl. We take turns to throw the dices into the bowl. We will get different prizes accroding to the different ways the dices show their upper sides. Everyone is likely to bee the champion or “Zhuangyuan” for the year. There is an element of luck and equal opportunity in this game. So people usually get excited while playing. Also, the game gives very pleasant sounds. The tinkling made by the dices falling into the bowl is pleasant, people’s laughing, cheering and applauding for the big prizes they’ve won is pleasant. All this adds greatly to the joyful atmosphere of this festival. As a kid, of course I also like the material prizes I get from the game, such as a candy or a cake.
In this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival, my family invited our foreign friends to e to our home to celebrate the Festival together. They have two children who are younger than me. While our parents were making Jiaozi together, we kids played “Bo Bing”. We bought quite some gifts to share with our guests as their prizes. They enjoyed the game and our get-together very much.
The literal translation of “Bo Bing” is “mooncake gambling.” But actually it is not gambling, at least our family never plays it that way. For us, it is more an occasion of happy sharing and getting-together. This is why Xiamen’s Mid-Autumn Festival has bee my favorite festival in the year.
Thank you very much!
:
Good afternoon, dear teachers and friends!
I' m happy to make a speech here. Thank you for your ing. Now, the topic for my speech today is “Western Festivals.” I would like to talk about Christmas.
Christmas is originally a Christian festival, as you can see from the formation of this word, “Christ-mas.” The first part of the word refers to Jesus Christ, and the second part “mas” es from the word “mass,” referring to a main religious ceremony in some Christian churches. At first, it was celebrated for the birth of Jesus Christ. Nowadays, although some churches still observe this festival for its religious reason, for most people, including Chinese people, Christmas has already bee a day of secular celebrations, when people exchange greetings and gifts. However, it is still a biggest festival in the West. It is as important to the Westerners as the Spring Festival is to the Chinese people.
Christmas day is on the 25th of December, and Christmas Eve is of course the evening of the previous day, the 24th December.
Christmas holiday usually lasts for two weeks, during which most schools have a Christmas break. Many families put the Christmas tree in their house, and hang many decorations on the tree. Under the tree, they usually place many Christmas presents. Giving out presents and receiving presents are what kids like best about this festival.
On Christmas Eve, kids would put stockings at the end of their bed, wishing the Santa Claus would e and give them presents.
As to the tradition of giving and receiving presents in Christmas, I think it has something to do with the nativity story. In the nativity story, on the birthday of baby Jesus, there was a bright star shining in the East. There were three kings in the East who saw the star, and they followed the star all the way to Bethlehem where the star stopped. They came to a manger where baby Jesus was lying. They worshiped the little baby and gave him presents. I think this is a beautiful story. It shows a spirit of sharing and love.
I like Christmas for the presents kids will receive and for its lovely story.
Thank you very much!
:
The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in the West.
Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new".
That Chinese people pay more attention to be polite, while it is different from other countries .And chinese culture is brilliant and they know how to use a brush to write
Now dragon is the symbol of the whole Chinese people.
Dragon is a animal worshipped by the Chinese people from the time immemorial. But what is it? No one knows.
Some people think that the Yanzi crocodile is the archetype of the dragon. However, most people hold that dragon is a bination of many animals. And the abilities of those animals have been collected to it. Wang Chong, once pointed that the horn of dragon liked deer's one, the head liked camel's one, the eyes liked rabbit's one, the neck liked snake's one, the talon liked eagle's one, the palm liked tiger's one and the ear liked cattle's one.
:
The Spring Festival, Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all of us. All family members get together on New Year'Eve to have a big meal.At the same time, everyone celebrates to each other. At about 12 o'clock, some parents and children light crackers. The whole sky is lighted brightly. We may watch the fireworks excitedly. How busy it is!
On the first early moring of one year, many senior citizen get up early and they stick the reversed Fu or hang some couplets on the front door. Some house's windows are sticked on red paper cutlings.
The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days. So during the fifteen days, we always visit our relatives from door to door. At that time, children are the happiest because they can get many red packets form their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on. The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival. It names the Lantern Festival.
So the Chinese New Year es to the end.

Dear teachers and students,
Everybody is good!
Among the traditional Chinese festivals, I like Spring Festival best. Spring Festival is one of the most lively and cheerful festivals in my opinion.
When the Spring Festival is coming, people who are far away from home will try their best to get back home to reunite with their families. Therefore, the Spring Festival is the most solemn festival for families to get together.
Every winter vacation, I go back to my hometown with my mother-in-law for Spring Festival. The Spring Festival in my hometown is very lively. A few days before the Spring Festival, every family is busy with cleaning and cleaning. Year 28 that day, the neighbors are spontaneous together to the house in front of the house are washed clean, and then happy heart street to buy Spring Festival goods.
To the New Year's eve, it is more lively. At this time distant relatives are back, we gather together, is a great day to worship ancestors. Every family put the prepared offerings on the sacrificial table of the big ancestral temple, and piled dozens of sacrificial tables into hills. The elders of the clan sat by, guiding the young people to perform the ceremony, and the children ran around, all smiling like flowers.
In the evening, my father and I helped my father-in-law paste Spring Festival couplets and hang lanterns, my mother-in-law and mother they began to prepare the New Year's Eve dinner. Wait until the time to eat the reunion dinner, Spring Festival couplets posted up, red lanterns also lit up, laughter, beaming. In the evening, we get together to watch the Spring Festival Gala, chat together shousui. Adults will seal a big benefit is to give us pressure, looking forward to the New Year will be more beautiful.
On New Year's Day, we all wear new clothes and shoes to pay New Year's greetings to our relatives and elders. This is the happiest I've ever been. Because on this day, we are all saying good luck words in our mouths, everyone is happy and happy, and we can also receive many red envelopes, and the pockets of our new clothes are almost broken
How happy the Spring Festival was!

1 January first. The beginning of a new year. As far back in history as we can tell, people have celebrated the start of a new year.
The people of ancient Egypt began their new year in summer. That is when the Nile River flooded its banks, bringing water and fertility to the land. The people of ancient Babylonia and Persia began their new year on March twenty-first, the first day of spring. And, some Native American Indians began their new year when the nuts of the oak tree became ripe. That was usually in late summer.
Now, almost everyone celebrates New Years Day on January first. Today, as before, people observe the New Years holiday in many different ways.
The ancient Babylonians celebrated by forcing their king to give up his crown and royal clothing. They made him get down on his knees and admit all the mistakes he had made during the past year.
This idea of admitting wrongs and finishing the business of the old year is found in many societies at new years. So is the idea of making resolutions. A resolution is a promise to change your ways. To stop smoking, for example. Or to get more physical exercise.
Noise-making is another ancient custom at the new year. The noise is considered necessary to chase away the evil spirits of the old year. People around the world do different things to make a lot of noise. They may hit sticks together. Or beat on drums. Or blow horns. Or explode fireworks.
Americans celebrate the New Year in many ways.
Most do not have to go to work or school. So they visit family and friends. Attend church services. Share a holiday meal. Or watch new years parades on television. Two of the most famous parades are the Mummers Parade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Both have existed for many years.
Americans also watch football on television on New Years Day. Most years, university teams play in special holiday games.
For those who have been busy at work or school, New Years may be a day of rest. They spend the time thinking about, and preparing for, the demands of the new year.
2 Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year Day.
I often go to bed late during the holiday, but I dont feel fired at all. I think the Spring Festival is the most enjoyable day for every family in China.
3 Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. It is sometimes called the "Lunar New Year" by English speakers. The festival traditionally begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th; this day is called Lantern Festival.

5 Good afternoon everyone.I’m Wu Yunfei .Today ,I’ll talk about the topic about spring festival .
Houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors. Colorful lanterns are hung at the gate. All family members will get together on New Year Eve to have a big meal . During which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school, and shops are closed. At the same time ,everyone celebrates to each other . When people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year".At about 12 oclock, some parents and children light crackers.
